Paignton Beach is a wide sandy bay with a traditional British seaside feel — promenade, pier, ice cream, and easy sea swimming. It's approximately 10–15 minutes on foot from Two Beaches. Perfect for an early morning stroll or a full family beach day.
Goodrington Sands is a quieter, sheltered sandy beach popular for paddleboarding, swimming, and family days out. Also 10–15 minutes on foot from the B&B. The South West Coast Path connects the two beaches, making for a lovely half-day coastal walk.
Departing from Paignton station — around 10 minutes' walk from Two Beaches — the Dartmouth Steam Railway runs a scenic coastal route to Kingswear, with a ferry connection across the River Dart to Dartmouth. One of the best day trips in Devon.
Home to over 2,000 animals across 80 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds, Paignton Zoo is a short drive or taxi ride from the B&B. One of the most popular family attractions in Devon and a full day out for guests of all ages.
Paignton sits between Torquay to the north and Brixham to the south, forming the three towns of the English Riviera. Torquay offers a lively harbour and restaurants; Brixham has a working fish market, a replica of the Golden Hind, and a charming fishing port atmosphere.
One of Britain's great long-distance trails, the South West Coast Path passes right through Paignton. You can join it within a 5–10 minute walk of Two Beaches for cliff-top walks with dramatic views across Torbay and beyond — as easy or as challenging as you like.
